Lady Gaga 在談到〈Die With A Smile〉的創作故事時表示：「當時我正在馬里布創作，努力完成自己的新專輯〈LG7〉，在某個漫長夜晚裡，Bruno Mars 邀請我去他的工作室，聽聽他正在製作的東西。當我抵達時已經午夜時分了，不過在我聽到他正在製作的音樂時，我真的非常興奮又驚喜，迫不及待的徹夜未眠地完成了歌曲的詞曲與錄製，Bruno Mars 的才華難以言喻，他的音樂天賦和已經達到新的層級，沒有任何人能像他那樣。」
