在接受採訪時，Beyoncé 說到關於這首歌：「她說，這首歌完全是為了頌讚非洲大陸，這塊人類起源的地方，我們的地球是如此的美好又是如此的多彩，不需要過多的藝術限制，因為他本身就充滿了一切色彩和傳統，因此我們選擇用這一切對這顆星球致敬，也表達我們的愛！」

這首歌一開始並沒有收錄在整張原聲帶中，根據導演的說法，是有一天碧昂絲心血來潮，跑到錄音室說，：「嘿，我給你們聽聽這首！」「大家當下的想法都很緊張，畢竟第一次聽到。聽完之後大家只覺得『這首歌實在太適合了』因此我們就改了一些名字，讓這首歌成為我們電影的核心和故事線！」
